I joined a local hiking tour organized by Signe from Breathe Alps, free from the usual crowds, and stayed in the charming Prinz-Luitpold-Haus, a traditional mountain hut.
Despite the less-than-perfect weather, the crisp mountain air and stunning views made every moment worth it.
